What are Experience Points (XP)?
Experience points (XP) are earned inside the OneFootball app and show your progression on your fan journey within OneFootball. You earn them by reading content, participating in quizzes and predicting match outcomes - there are plenty of ways to earn XP!

How can I earn XP?
Earn XP, badges, and rewards simply by engaging with the OneFootball app! It's the beauty of the OFC - you continue enjoying the sport you love while reaping rewards along the way. Whether you're reading content, adding comments, participating in quizzes, or predicting match outcomes, there are plenty of ways to earn rewards. You will also get a notification every time you earn XP and which achievement triggered it!

My XPs are not updating - what do I do?
Experience points (XP) are updated directly after you’ve earned them. You will get a in-app pop-up as well as a push notification displaying the amount of XP you just won. If you didn’t receive XP for your activity (e.g., reading articles, engaging with content), your progress is recorded in our gamification system, but it may take some time to update.

What is the leaderboard and how does it work?
To check the leaderboard, please:
- Navigate to the profile tab
- Tap on the Chart icon at the top
Discover in the leaderboard how you rank across all football fans around the world. Your rank in the leaderboard reflects your activity and accumulated XP over a season. A season lasts a month and when a season ends, a new one starts immediately. You can check how much time remains in the season at the top of the leaderboard. Compare your rank with your friends and strive to become the biggest football fan in the world!
What are Streaks and Challenges?
To find them, please:
- Navigate to the Profile tab
- Tap on the Trophy icon at the top
Streaks are simply the number of days you use the OneFootball app in a row, while Challenges are fun tasks to test your football knowledge and skills. By completing streaks and challenges, you earn experience points (XP) that help you move up levels in the OneFootball Club!

How often are Challenges available?
You will be able to find daily, weekly and monthly Challenges to earn XP in the OneFootball app!
What are badges and how can they be earned?
To locate them, please:
- Navigate to the Profile tab
- Tap on the Trophy icon at the top
- Tap on the Badges tab
Badges are digital achievements that are a symbol for all the actions you’ve performed as a fan! They’re your personal accomplishments within the OneFootball app. You earn badges by completing specific actions, such as participating in quizzes, making predictions, or achieving certain milestones in your fan journey.
You can learn how to unlock a specific badge simply by tapping on it.
What are Levels?
Your level represents your monthly progress. The more XP you earn, the higher your level is and higher are the chances that you win a reward! Your level resets at the beginning of each month.
How does the Leaderboard and Seasons work?
The leaderboard represents your monthly rank against other OneFootball users. Engaging in various actions on the platform will earn you XP which in turn levels up your Fan Profile, as well as places you into a seasonal XP leaderboard. A season lasts a month and when a season ends, a new one starts immediately. The time remaining in the season is displayed at the top of the Leaderboard.
What happens to your seasonal XP once a Season is over?
Your rank reflects your dedication and activity during a particular season. At the end of each season, it's like starting a new chapter in your football journey. Just like when the football season of your favourite team ends! Your levels and seasonal XP reset. It's a chance to start afresh, with new opportunities and experiences awaiting in the next season!
How can I challenge my friends?
We have a leaderboard where you can see both your all-time score and your seasonal score. The seasonal score is reset every month. So you can compete with all other fans and become the biggest fan in your country! Simply challenge your friends to get the best score at the end of the season! But you can also focus your efforts intensely, maximising your chances to win prizes then!
