Troubleshooting Notification Issues in OneFootball
We know how important notifications are for keeping you updated on your favorite teams, competitions, and breaking news. If your notifications aren’t working as expected, this guide will help you troubleshoot and resolve any issues quickly.
1️⃣ Check Your Notification Settings in the App
📢 For Team & Competition Notifications
- Open the OneFootball app and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap on your followed team or competition.
- Check if notifications are enabled (look for the 🔔 bell icon).
- Tap Done to save your changes.
⚡ For Breaking News Notifications
- Open the Profile tab and tap on ⚙️ Settings (top-right corner).
- Scroll down and enable Breaking News to receive alerts on major updates.
🔄 Fixing Incorrect Notifications
If you’re receiving notifications from teams or competitions you don’t follow, try:
- Unfollowing and refollowing the team or competition.
- Restarting the OneFootball app after making changes.
2️⃣ Check Your Device’s Notification Settings
📱 Android Devices
🔋 Disable Power Saving Mode
Power-saving features can block app notifications. To check:
- Settings → Battery → Disable Power Saving Mode if enabled.
⚙️ Check Smart Management Settings
On some Android devices (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, etc.), app notifications are blocked by system optimizations. To allow notifications:
🔹 For Most Android Devices
- Settings → Apps & Notifications → OneFootball → Notifications
- Ensure Show Notifications is enabled.
- Allow Sound & Banners to ensure alerts appear.
🔹 For Huawei & Honor Devices
- Settings → Battery Manager → Protected Apps → Enable OneFootball.
- Settings → Apps → Advanced → Ignore Battery Optimizations → Select Allow OneFootball.
- Settings → Notification Panel & Status Bar → Enable Priority Display for OneFootball.
- Restart your Huawei device to apply changes.
📌 Tip: Some Android skins (e.g., MIUI, EMUI, OxygenOS) may have extra notification settings—check your phone manufacturer’s support page for model-specific instructions.
🍏 iOS Devices (iPhone & iPad)
🔹 Ensure Notifications Are Enabled
- Settings → Notifications → OneFootball.
- Enable Allow Notifications.
- Set alerts to Banners, Lock Screen, and Notification Center.
🔹 Check Focus Mode / Do Not Disturb
- Settings → Focus or Do Not Disturb.
- If enabled, tap it and allow notifications from OneFootball.
🔹 Ensure Internet Connection
Notifications require an active internet connection. If you’re on Low Data Mode, some background notifications may not arrive.
📌 Tip: Restart your device if changes don’t take effect immediately.
3️⃣ Understanding Notification Limitations
⚽ Competition-Specific Alerts
- Some competitions only support post-match notifications (e.g., final results), even if you enable live goal alerts.
- If you’re not receiving real-time notifications, check if this applies to the competition you follow.
📰 News Notifications for Favorite Teams
- There is no separate setting for news updates about your followed teams.
- If you follow a team, you will automatically receive relevant news about them.
4️⃣ Still Having Issues?
📩 Contact Support
If none of these solutions resolve the issue:
- Go to the Profile tab in the OneFootball app.
- Tap "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page.
- Include the following details in your report:
- Your device model (e.g., iPhone 14, Samsung Galaxy S23).
- Your OS version (Android/iOS version).
- Your notification preferences (which alerts are not working?).
🚀 We’ll review your issue and work to find a solution!
✅ Enjoy OneFootball and never miss an important update again! ⚽
